Creatin API on the server

ERPnext is built using Frappe framework. You can enhance the application by creating more apps to add new doctypes and server side processes as well as Desk pages and Web pages.

It is requried that ERPNext is installed in developer mode for undertaking the following.

Frappe framework comes with a CLI tool called Bench which simplies a number of tasks related to creating a new app.

A new app can be created by using bench command new-app A new app automatically creates a new module with the same name. And all the doctypes are created under this modules. Once the app is installed on any site these doctypes are available to all.

An app consists of doctypes and related list view, form view and calendar view. It also consists of Desk Pages and Web Pages. And server side processes.
